Indian Navy Agniveer Recruitment 2027: The Indian Navy has published the definite announcement of the Agniveer Recruitment 2027 within the scheme of Agnipath. The recruitment drive will consist of Agniveer SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit), Agniveer MR (Matric Recruit) and SSR (Medical) Sailor posts in 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in from March 14 to April 6, 2026.

Important Dates

  • INET 2026 Exam (Tentative): May 2026

Application Fee

Candidates must pay an application fee of ₹550 + 18% GST.

Educational Qualification

Agniveer MR (Matric Recruit)

  • Must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board
  • Minimum 50% marks required

Agniveer SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit)

  • Must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics
  • OR 3-year Diploma in a relevant field with minimum 50% marks

SSR (Medical) Sailor

  • Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology
  • Minimum 50% marks

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes several stages:

  1. INET 2026 Computer-Based Test
  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  3. Stage II Written Examination
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

Candidates who qualify all stages will proceed for training.

Exam Pattern

Agniveer SSR Exam

  • 100 objective questions
  • Subjects: English, Science, Mathematics, General Awareness
  • Duration: 1 hour

Agniveer MR Exam

  • 50 questions
  • Subjects: Science, Mathematics, General Awareness
  • Duration: 30 minutes

SSR (Medical) Exam

  • 100 questions
  • Subjects: English, Science, Biology, General Awareness

All exams will be conducted in English and Hindi.

Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates must pass the Physical Fitness Test which includes:

  • 1.6 km running
  • Squats
  • Push-ups
  • Sit-ups

Separate standards apply for male and female candidates.

Training

Selected candidates will undergo initial training at INS Chilka in Odisha.
