The Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) has released Advertisement No. 11/2026 for the recruitment of Company Commander (Gulm Samadeshak) in the Bihar Home Guard service. A total of 65 vacancies are available under the Home Department (Special), Government of Bihar.
The online application process started on 10 September 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications up to 10 October 2026. Importantly, this recruitment is not open to the general public. It is specifically meant for eligible serving and trained Bihar Home Guard personnel.

Who Can Apply?
Male, female and third-gender candidates can apply if they meet the prescribed conditions. Applicants should have at least 10 years of remaining service on the relevant cut-off date. The age limit is 24 to 50 years, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process
Selection will be conducted through Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination, Physical Eligibility Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination. Both preliminary and main examinations carry negative marking of 0.20 marks for each incorrect answer.
